Every day from Monday 18th - Sunday 24th July at the Irish Landmark Trust Building, RTE Radio 1 will play an hour of radio documentaries for a drop-in audience. These types of listening sessions already take place in various European and American cities.
Often radio is something we listen to alone - it’s intimate - but listening to a documentary with other people? It’s a great experience; especially when the lights are low and you get to concentrate on the sound. It’s a bit like the difference between watching a DVD and going to the cinema.
Each listening session will also feature a short, sound-rich audio documentary recorded within Temple Bar, many from independent producers - these have been commissioned especially for Made in Temple Bar.
