The charming Noirin Kearney trained as a pastry chef in Cathal Brugha St before going on to work in some of the country’s finest hotels. Having decided to become her own boss and concentrate on her favourite style of baking she joined the ranks of the Temple Bar Market eight years ago.

Her philosophy, “never sacrifice quality for cost” has served her well and is clearly reflected across the range of 28 products she bakes fresh for the market each week. Nóirín brings an unmistakable country-house touch to her baking, using only the finest local ingredients from producers close to her base in Ferns, Co Wexford.

Favourites include her High-Fibre breakfast bread, her wonderfully moist Banana Bread her classic light fruit cakes and the best pear and almond tart you are ever likely to taste. This is country baking at it’s very finest, homely, wholesome, comforting and downright delicious.
