Croatian-born Darko Marjamovic has been baking in Ireland for fifteen years and travelling down to the market from his Lisburn base every Saturday for the past seven. Every delectible item on his stall is made from scratch, using local ingredients (at least 50% of them organic).
This master baker produces breads and baked goods with a signature flourish that never fails to surprise and delight. His scones, for example, are the biggest you have ever seen and contain dried fruits that you would never expect. Croatian specialites include savoury spinach and feta filo pie, wonderfully perfumed lemon polenta cake and sweeter than sweet baklava.
His staff will be happy to warm a great slice of quiche or potato rosti for you and his deep-filled apple pie is better than any your mother ever made. (Sincerest apologies to all of our mothers)
