Photo Competition
Capture the Dublin Handel Festival in the great outdoors and be in with a chance to win dinner for 4 at Gallagher's Boxty House, a delicious traditional Irish Restaurant here in Temple Bar.
The 2009 Dublin Handel Festival takes place from the 13th to the 19th of April in the Old City area of Temple Bar and other historic venues throughout Dublin. Celebrating the 250th anniversary of Handel’s death, Temple Bar Cultural Trust presents a full programme jam-packed with Handel highlights including a selection of picture perfect outdoor events and performances! Here is a taster of some of the Festival events in the great outdoors.
Let’s Walk & Talk , an historical walking tour of Handel’s Dublin with leading historian Pat Liddy
Messiah on the Street, a unique outdoor choral performance on the original site where Messiah received its world premiere in 1742.
Living History Walkabout, a local gentry of Dublin’s high society promenade through the markets of Temple Bar in 18th century costume

Dublin String Quartet, music performance of Handel, Bach and Vivaldi at Temple Bar’s three outdoor markets

All of our outdoor events as part of the Festival are FREE so all you need is yourself, your camera and a bit of imagination! Happy snapping and we look forward to seeing the results!
HOW TO ENTER
Photos for the competition are being stored on Flickr, a free photo storage and sharing site owned by Yahoo. You can submit your Dublin Handel Festival photos by following these steps:
1. Visit the TBCT Photo Competition Flickr Group page http://www.flickr.com/groups/templebarphotocompetition/ and sign up for a free Flickr account or login using your existing Yahoo account if you have one.
2. Once you are signed in, visit the TBCT Photo Competition Flickr page and join the TBCT Photo Competition group.
3. Upload photos to your account.
4. Go to the page of the photo(s) you want to submit to the competition.
5. Click the "Send to Group" button between the photo title and the photo.
6. Choose the “TBCT Photo Competition” group and you're done!
Once you’ve opened a Flickr account, you can add photos via your mobile www.flickr.com/help/mobile/#212 and share them on your blog www.flickr.com/help/blogging/#55.
